Background
Dan joined the firm, in an “of counsel” capacity, in 2017. Prior to joining the firm, Dan was in private practice, specializing in public sector labor relations, educational and governmental law. He was the Assistant City Solicitor/Labor Negotiator for the City of Peabody for more than thirty-one years; and he represented other governmental entities including the City of Salem and its School Committee; the Town of Boxford, the South Essex Sewerage District, the Salem Housing Authority and was “of counsel” to the City of Beverly Legal Department.
Prior to entering private practice, he was an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the Associate Counsel for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO (AFSCME) Council 41, now Council 93. In addition, in 1969-1970, Dan served his country as an Army Captain, having been assigned to the 12th Combat Aviation Group as its personnel officer and to Headquarters of the 1st Aviation Brigade, Vietnam , as a legal staff officer.
